Relief for Moore, OK Solicitation

Many of you are probably asking yourselves why coach Hanson would be utilizing the American Strikers channel of communication to solicit help for the victims of the tornado in Moore, OK? Well, while we have an incredible soccer family, I believe we have an even stronger support group that cares about helping others. I have witnessed this through countless prayers and have seen how you donated cleats and other soccer items to those in Africa.

We now have an opportunity to reach out to our neighbors to the north in Moore, OK. I'm sure that those who go to church will likely have channels to donate. If you'd like a more direct route, I'm heading up to OK this Monday with my family and friends. We're working on getting resources together (food, water, clothing, diapers, essentials) to take with us and we'll be helping on Memorial Day with some clean up. It's not much but it's something and I feel compelled to share what I have with those that now having nothing.

If you'd like more info and/or would like to donate time and/or resources, check out https://www.facebook.com/FortWorthReliefForMooreOk , like it and stay tuned for more details. The more help the better.

Thanks again for all of your help, love and support!

Soccer Cleat Donation Request Reminder

For those that have so generously donated their gently used cleats, a big thank you! My friend touched base with me a couple of nights ago and was so excited at the generosity of individuals with no connections to those whom will benefit but do so out of the kindness of their hearts.

For those that may still be able to donate, I will be handing the set of donations over to my friend just after Spring Break as they will be delivered in April during the mission trip. So if you intend on donating and just need to sync up after the break, please let me know.

Have a great Spring Break!

Fantastic Win Last Night

It's always nice to come back from a 0-1 losing state and take a game 4-1. Despite a sluggish start that rocked us from our heels and woke us up, we dominated the game. The style of play that the team has developed that works the best is smooth, calm, controlled with bursts of energy at the right moments that capitalize on opponent weaknesses.

Congrats again on a fantastic finish and great undefeated start. Notice below, the Strikers are on top with almost half the division checking in having played 2 games. This is going to be a stellar season for us and a very crowded top half of the division. Keep up the good work!
